TENNIS: I wonder how many of you have been sitting up watching Wimbledon.
It was great watch Nick Cyrgious play after being forced to sit through a 24 hour delay as the officials cleared a backlog of postponed third round matches to defeat Czech Jiri Vesely.
Tuesday evening’s or should I say Wednesday morning’s match against Raffa Nadal certainly was outstanding.
We have been following Nick for some time no. His name first came to light with us when our son Steven who taught Nick at Daramalan, in Canberra told us that this boy will certainly make a mark on the world stage – and this he has done.
Hopefully for Nick’s sake, I will have a few more late nights/early mornings before Wimbledon is over.
FESTIVAL VISITORS: Jenn Graham was delighted to have her son Daniel and granddaughter Graciela from Tenambit, Maitland visit for the Henry Lawson Festival weekend.
