FIRIES OPEN DAY: The Grenfell NSW Fire Brigade Town Unit conducted its annual Open Day. It is a great opportunity for the Brigade members to show the public through the Fire Station so that they (the public) can gain a greater appreciation of the rigorous training and knowledge of fire fighting equipment that is required by Brigade members. STEPHANIE MOFFITT GRADUATES: On April 20, 2007 local girl, Stephanie Moffitt graduated from Sydney University with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce degrees. The impressive ceremony at the Great Hall, Sydney University was attended by Stephanie’s father, Hugh, brother Alex and cousin Margaret Sanders. Stephanie has gained employment as Human Resources Assistant with KCI, a global medical technology company with Head Office in Amsterdam. Stephanie will be working in Lane Cove, Sydney.
AN “EARLY IRON HOT ROD”: This fabulous 1948 Chrysler Ute that has been modified as a hot rod show car was part of a rally of some 20 vehicles that visited Grenfell with the Early Iron Hot Rod Club. The club has been touring for about 40 years and each year they visit a different country town. This year it was Grenfell's turn after club members discovered it on the internet. Most members are from Sydney with a few from Bathurst and the Hunter Valley. Club spokespersons Barry and Jane Fogwell thanked everyone in town for their friendship and the good time had by the club over the weekend.

LIONS CONTINUE TO MAKE RAIN: The Lions trip to Bundanoon saw the magical ability of the club to attract the rain wherever they go, emerge once again.
KEEP THOSE MO’S GROWING: The Editors choice - retired long-serving Grenfell Record editor, Billy Rudd, (l) and the encumbent, Peter Soley, are showing by example how to grow a Henry "tache". So lads - don't let the old boys take all the accolades, get that "mo" growing and get down to the Record office to have your pic taken for posterity.
PANTHERS CRUSH COOTAMUNDRA: Underneath this group of players Stuart Hughes is flat out on the deck with the ball firmly in his grasp after scoring a great try against last year's premiership side, who didn't lose a game all season, Cootamundra, at Grenfell's Bembrick Field.
