A Sydney court has been told a woman killed her former lover and mutilated his genitals because she thought he was a serial predator.
Jian Chen has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Xian Peng, 48, in February last year. Police say she used sleeping pills to spike her former partner’s soup, and once Mr Peng was asleep, Chen bound his hands and feet and stabbed him a number of times in the neck and groin before mutilating his genitals.
In a sentencing hearing, the New South Wales Supreme Court heard Chen killed Mr Peng out of anger over the way he treated women and because she believed he was a serial predator who made women pregnant and extorted money from them.
Justice Monika Schmidt reserved her judgment.
