About 8.30am on Monday August 6, emergency services were called this shed fire in East Street Grenfell.
On arrival the shed was found to be well alight and burning fiercely. The fire eventually extinguished by the Fire and Rescue NSW Grenfell Brigade who were quickly on the scene. No one was injured in the incident. The fire was investigated and it appears the fire was caused by hot embers that were removed from a wood fire inside the house about two weeks prior. Unfortunately the owners were not insured. Police along with Fire and Rescue would like to remind all residents with combustion heaters or stoves to be extremely careful when disposing of the ashes.
