SUCCESSFUL RUGBY CLUB LADIES DAY FOR CANASSIST
Last Saturday the Grenfell Rugby Club Inc hosted its annual Ladies Day event at R B Bembrick field and this year raised funds in aid of CanAssist – The Cancer Assistance Network.
A better day could not have been asked for with the sun shining and plenty of ladies about the clubhouse. The ladies were pampered and spoilt, with Katherine Neill and Rachel Eppelstun on hand to make them look and feel extra special and Danielle McAllister displaying some of her delicious smelling candles all of her own creation. As well as that the ladies were treated to plenty of cocktails and scrumptious food from the Criterion Hotel to tempt their taste buds.
Auctions and a wonderful raffle with an array of donated prizes were on offer with an abundance of supporters getting involved on the day and putting their dollars towards helping a worthy charity. Many local businesses and individuals must be thanked for their generous contributions towards the day that could not have been a success without them.
Orange Helicopters, Grenfell Pharmacy, Reids Thrifty Link Hardware, Grenfell Quality Meats, DA Yates Photography & Design, Louisa’s Locker, Bella Rose Beauty Therapy, Vavoom Hair Studio – Rachel Eppelstun, Egoista – Katherine Neill, Lachlan Fertilizers, The Grenfell Post Shop, Jan Parlett, Ardee, Danielle McAllister, Bromar Engineering, Crutchers IGA & Mark Crutcher, CanAssist Grenfell, The Criterion Hotel & Melissa Anderson, The Australian Rugby Union, The Grenfell Rugby Club Committee & The Panthers Supporters.
A little over $2,500 was raised for CanAssist on the day and will be given to the Grenfell Branch of CanAssist to help the members of our local community that are suffering the terrible effects of cancer. A special thank you is extended to Michelle Rohan and Andrew Hooper of the local CanAssist Branch who contributed auction items for the day and for the fantastic work they do in our community.
