The Grenfell Car Club organises and runs this event on behalf of the Festival Committee, and this year there will be lots of stalls on the footpath areas, along with shops and hotels open on Main Street with a large variety of goods on hand.
The Car Show will be held on the closed end of lower Main Street (between the clock tower and Caltex Service Centre).
Entries open at 8.30am and close at 10.00am with a wide variety of car classes to enter in.
We have independent judges, and there are a large number of awards for each class and very good prize money.
There is a President’s Award, the very popular People’s Choice Award, Best Represented Club Award (cars must be entered) and other awards on the day.
Open and free display to the public for viewing these vintage and classic cars: 10am to 3.30pm.
There will be veteran/vintage, British/European, Japanese, modern classic, town utes, Australian/American modified and Hot Rod.
Last year we had great weather a good one for participants, a huge crowd strolled through over the day with club members getting their vote for People’s Choice Award.
A roll up of 70 odd cars entered for prizes and approximately another ten or so on display.
We would like to display any historic truck or tractor, also people wishing to join in with their vehicle, you are more than welcome.
This will be the eleventh annual show and every year it seems to get better.
So come and join us on June 10, display or enter a car, truck or tractor.
It would be great to see you there, even if it is just to look – check out what Grandad and Grandma or mum and dad used to drive.
