Last Friday night saw a gathering of ladies from around the town at the local rugby club for ‘Ladies marathon night of style.’ It was a great night full of food, wine, cocktails, a mountain of prizes and some truly inspiring stories. Jacqui Greig, the Editor of Style Magazine shared her story about how she created her magazine ‘style’ from scratch and turned it into the highly successful magazine it is today. Berenice Hines, owner of Binbilla Wines and Ultra Marathon Competitor told about what she endured whilst participating in an ultra marathon. Both ladies where incredibly motivating and we greatly appreciate them donating their time to share their stories.
Also on the agenda for the night was a lucky door prize, and over 30 prizes donated by local businesses to raffle off. We would like to thank The Roses Gallery, Vavoom Hair studio, Beauty Spot, Grenfell Chemist, Egoista, D&C Reid Thrifty Link, Jus Beautiful, Grenfell shoes, Louisa’s Locker, Ardee, Grenfell Bowling Club, Grenfell Picnic Races for all of the great prizes donated.
We would also like to thank all the people who volunteered their time on the night and the ladies who cooked food for the night. Thankyou Sally Dunn, Matty Gavin for providing great drink service, Elly troy and Krystal Eppelstun for working on the door all night, Tracey Hunter, Bev Coleman, Debbie Stevens, Wendy Ryder, Marie Worthington and Christine Stein for providing great food.
