The regular family feud dart game took place on Wednesday evening May 16 when the Show No Mercy girls challenged the Railway Hotel team.
Playing for Show No Mercy were Lain Thiel, Deidre Carroll, Sylvia Butcher, Mary Fanning, Pam Hutson, Sharyn Bradtke, Sharon Saye and Laurel Scheimer.
Inky Armstrong, Barry Bradtke, Greg Saye, Terry Knight, Dave Thiel, Jeff Gardner, Tony Fenech and Murray Logan made up the team for the Railway.
Although the Railway won the contest six games to one, all games were close going down to the wire.
But I am sure the Railway grows an extra leg when they have to play against the girls and are really put under pressure.
Inky (X20) and Barry in a very close encounter defeated Lain and Deidre in the first game of 301. In another close game Greg followed suit (X20) and Terry defeated Sylvia and Mary.
Things were looking up for the girls when Sharyn B (X2) and Pam put the skids under Dave and Jeff.
Tony and Murray (X6) won the last game of 301 to make the score Railway 3 – SNM 1.
Unfortunately for the girls, the Railway won the next three games of 501 to retain the cup six games to one.
Inky (X1) jagged his second double for the night, Terry jagged a double 8 and Dave reversed his first round loss with a double 8 as well.
Best for the girls was Sharyn Bradtke getting a double to win one game and had a top of 87 and 64, Pam came in next with 84 and 64, Mary scored 75 and Sylvia scored 72 and 62.
Terry Knight top scored for the Railway on 135 and jagged a double, Inky won two games and had a top of 80 and 78, Barry scored 81 and 75, Greg scored a double and had a top of 76 and Dave and Murray both won a game.
This was a great fun night enjoyed by all.
Owing to the State of Origin game on Wednesday night May 16 darts were not played.
Tonight, May 30 the Royal Hotel will challenge the Railway, followed by the Bowling Club on June 6, then a bye on June 13 owing to the second State of Origin.
Good darting.... Double Half
