The Grenfell Junior Rugby League is looking forward to another exciting season in 2012. After our under 14’s wonderful Grand Final win in 2011 it will be great to watch all teams strive to achieve the same goal with a never say die attitude.
The GJRL are eager to see all of their regular players and their families back again this year. The club is also excited to welcome any new players along with their families and invite them to join us after each home game at the Grenfell Country Club for a free barbeque, along with the chance to win a prize from either our player of the round draw or our membership draw.
It is important to make special mention of our League Tag coaches for the upcoming season– Senior League Tag we would like to thank Jacklyn Heathcote and Rodney Cotter – Junior League Tag we would like to thank Isabelle Holmes.
The club would also like to welcome all Junior Rugby League coaches: Under 7’s & Under 8’s –

As yet, our talented Under 12’s and Under 14’s are still in need of a coach. A reminder that we have registration days coming up soon, the first one being on Wednesday February 8 – 5.00pm to 6.00pm and the second is to be on Wednesday, February 15 – 5.00pm to 6.00pm at Lawson Oval. Registration fees are as follows: $55.00 for junior league players and $20.00 for junior and senior league tag players. All registration fees include new football shorts, socks and a free NRL game pass. This pass allows free entry into any regular weekly NRL game for the registered card holder. Registration packs are available on registration days or by request via email from Cindy Brebner at brebner4@bigpond.com for all players and parents convenience. Grenfell has a vast variety of sporting talent and Junior Rugby League is no exception with the likes Bobby Ryan and Conner Brebner representing the club in 2011 at a representative level. It would be great to see as many of our talented players strutting their stuff at this level and really show just what Grenfell has on offer.
Applications for representative football for U/13’s, U/14’s, U/15’s and U/16’s need to be given to Cindy Brebner by February 25, 2012. These application forms will be in the registration packs, so sign up and have a go, you just never know what you might achieve.
