Grenfell turned out in big numbers on Wednesday to commemorate all the soldiers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in order to save the freedom of our young country.
Remembrance Day also commemorates all those soldiers who gave up their lives in the great conflagration that was WWI. In fact the Armistice was announced on the 11th minute of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. Seen here are some of those involved in Grenfell’s commemoration ceremony at 11am on Wednesday, including the two buglers from the town band, the cadet catafalque party and the RSL Flag party, and the chaplain and returned servicemen. “They shall not grow old as we that are left to grow old.” (more photos on page 6)
