Gunyah Craft Shop report

Gunyah Craft Shop held their October meeting on a freezing spring day, President Ruth warmly welcoming 9 members and accepting 1 apology.

Jean read a story one entitled “Who am I”, about birth to old age. Elaine Needham to present October’s verse.

We had a letter from the Combined Service Clubs thanking us for our donation to Care West.

We are now running a competition for $100 Open Order to be spent at any business in Grenfell. Tickets $1 each they can be purchased at the shop. This very acceptable prize will be drawn in time for Christmas.

New in stock are Cd’s featuring Henry Lawson’s poems read by Jack Thompson and poems by Banjo Patterson they are $19.95 each. And a variety of goods suitable for gift giving, you are welcome to lay-bye with a small deposit and regular payments over 8 weeks, a great idea for Christmas.

We now have recipe sheets with tried and tested recipes from mains to preserves, at least three recipes on each sheet they are an affordable $1.50c each.

We also have a range of new material remnants some cotton, suitable for patchwork a lot of sizes and patterns at very reasonable prices.

Also available are a big range of Knitting books and sewing patterns.

Plenty of homemade cakes, biscuits, jams, pickles, chutneys and herbs in stock also citrus fruits, eggs and plants.

Our next meeting will be at the shop on Wednesday 11th November at 2pm. All members and producers are invited to attend and show your support for the committee who run your shop.
