President Joalee Knight welcomed members to our Birthday meeting including Liz and Roley Ranger who came over from Cootamundra for the occasion. Joalee opened the meeting with reading Psalm 15:5 followed by prayer. Our secretary Sue Seymour read minutes and Marian gave the Treasurers report in Murray’s absence. She then gave her managers report and told us about the great stock bought at the Canberra C.B.A.A Expo and which is arriving at the shop in time for Christmas. There are many great books for children, also stocking fillers and DVD’s and CD’s we also have gift vouchers, cards for all occasions, Bibles and study books, lovely gifts for first communion and confirmation.

Pictures have been given out at the schools for entry in colouring competition sponsored by C.M.C. Entries must be in before closing date 18th December, 2009.

Marian thanked volunteers for their witness at the shop. Two of our ladies have retired, Merle Reeves and Alison Merchant, a big thank you to both of you and we wish you joy and blessings in the future.

Our shop will be open from 9am till 5pm from Monday 30th November to Thursday 24th December, 2009 for your shopping, so please come in and browse and talk to our ladies about your purchases and catalogue orders. Marian closed our meeting in prayer and we then enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea and Birthday cake. Thank you to Meryl for having our celebration at her home.

The bookshop will be closed December 25th to January 3rd 2010 inclusive, we wish everyone in the Weddin Shire a Holy Christmas and may joy, peace and love abide with you in New Year 2010.
